DZI – Seal of Approval for Donations

The Ev. Johanneswerk is one of the German social organisations which have been awarded the seal of approval for donations by the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI).

The DZI controls, if the seal of approval guidelines are observed. For the future, the social organisations have to confirm that they will adhere to this self-commitment. Every year, the seal has to be applied for anew.

Criteria for the awarding of the DZI seal of approval:

• truthful, clear and factual advertising in word and image,
• verifiable, economical and statutory use of funds in accordance with relevant fiscal regulations,
• clear and comprehensible accounting,
• submission of annual audit to DZI,
• internal control of executive board by independent supervising board,
• bonuses, commissions or profit-sharing for the raising of donations are subject to severe restrictions.
